    India has a diversified financial sector undergoing rapid expansion, both in terms of strong growth of existing financial services firms and new entities entering the market. The sector comprises commercial banks, insurance companies, non-banking financial companies, co-operatives, pension funds, mutual funds, micro finance and other smaller financial entities. The banking regulator has allowed new entities such as payments banks to be created recently thereby adding to the types of entities operating in the sector. However, the financial sector in India is predominantly a banking sector with commercial banks accounting for more than 64 per cent of the total assets held by the financial system
    India is today one of the most vibrant global economies, on the back of robust banking and insurance sectors. The country is projected to become the fifth largest banking sector globally by 2020. The report also expects bank credit to grow at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 17 per cent in the medium term leading to better credit penetration. Life Insurance Council, the industry body of life insurers in the country also projects a CAGR of 12–15 per cent over the next few years for the financial services segment.

    A mutual fund is just the connecting bridge or a financial intermediary that allows a group of investors to pool their money together with a predetermined investment objective. Mutual funds are considered as one of the best available investments as compare to others they are very cost efficient and also easy to invest in, thus by pooling money together in a mutual fund, investors can purchase stocks or bonds with much lower trading costs than if they tried to do it on their own. But the biggest advantage to mutual funds is diversification, by minimizing risk & maximizing returns. In this module, you will understand the industry, its products and how to sell it. Students will be trained to sit for the NISM examination (fees extra)

    An investment that provides a return in the form of fixed periodic payments and the eventual return of principal at maturity. Unlike a variable-income security, where payments change based on some underlying measure such as short-term interest rates, the payments of a fixed-income security are known in advance.     ASSET ALLOCATION

    TRADE FINANCE

    This programme will equip the trade finance team thoroughly with the technical details of letter of credit and documentation, which will enable them to offer the best and fast service to their clientele.
    According to the statistics released by International Chamber of Commerce, around 50-75% of documents under LC transactions are defective. As a result, either the banker or the customer’s financial interest will be at stake. This programme will highlight the features of various documents in a Letter of Credit transaction and suggest rectifying the deficiencies with practical illustrations and case studies.

Most of the commercial banks are aggressive in offering new products to this group of potential investors.     By participating in this session, the student would get an overview of the Retail Asset business, the various products, the processes involved, managing collections, managing distributors, credit policy, risk management etc. It is a comprehensive listing but the program can be offered modular by picking on specific topics and going in depth
